Biometric Feedback FAQs
What Is Biometric Feedback?
Biometric feedback (also called biofeedback) is the use of technology to help you learn to change the way you respond to stress. This lets you feel more comfortable -- mentally, emotionally, and physically.
The biometric equipment that I use provides feedback about your body’s Heart Rate Variability (an analysis of the time intervals between heartbeats). By learning to control your autonomic nervous system, you can prevent, manage, and reverse the negative effects of stress. |

What are Sessions Like?

You’ll sit with a sensor attached to your ear. As you apply the easy-to-learn techniques that I teach you, you'll be able to observe their impact on your body.
I'll help you learn to apply these self-regulation tools to your life and some of the challenges you are dealing with right now. Between sessions, you’ll practice the techniques for a few minutes each day. Please realize that your sincere commitment to practice between sessions is essential. Participating in the sessions alone is not likely to bring about sustained change.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?
Honestly, the answer to that question depends on your particular situation, your commitment to daily practice, and whether you choose to invest in equipment to use on your own.
For general planning purposes, though, most people who commit to regular practice will benefit greatly from 4 - 6 sessions spaced approximately a week apart.

Can I Buy My Own Equipment?
Absolutely! While it’s not a requirement, it can certainly help accelerate your progress.
If you decide you’d like to purchase equipment to use at home and on the go, I can help you choose from several available options. You can purchase it from me, or I can point you to other sources, whichever you prefer.
